About Us

We’re here to help you every step of the way. NBI Clearance Online is an independent guide that supports Filipinos with clear, up-to-date instructions for applying, renewing and verifying their NBI clearance. We are not the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) or a government agency, so the application itself, payment and release of your clearance are always done through the official NBI Clearance system.

NBI Clearance Online is a free, independent guide to getting, renewing and verifying an NBI clearance in the Philippines. We turn the official process into clear, step-by-step instructions so that first-time applicants, job seekers, OFWs and Filipinos abroad can get their clearance with fewer wasted trips.

What we do

  • Explain each step of the official online application on the official NBI Clearance website (clearance.nbi.gov.ph), from registration to your branch appointment.
  • Keep checklists of requirements, accepted valid IDs, fees and payment options, with the date we last checked them.
  • Cover the questions people actually get stuck on: a “HIT” result, name mismatches, rescheduling, renewal, apostille and applying from abroad.
  • Point you to the official source for anything that only the NBI can do.

What we don’t do

  • We do not sell appointments, slots, “fast lane” processing or clearances.
  • We never ask for your NBI account password, OTP, payment details or personal documents.
  • We do not have access to NBI records and cannot tell you whether you have a HIT.

If any website or social media page offers to “fix”, speed up or deliver an NBI clearance for a fee outside the official channels, treat it as a possible scam and report it to the NBI.

Who writes our guides

Our guides are written and maintained by the NBI Clearance Online Editorial Team. Every guide is checked against official NBI sources, including the NBI’s own website and its online clearance system, and shows the date it was last reviewed. You can read exactly how we research, check and update content in our Editorial Policy.

Found something outdated?

NBI procedures, fees and branch schedules change. If you notice something that no longer matches what you saw on the portal or at a branch, please tell us through our contact page. We review every correction we receive.
